Referendum on Jack Layton’s role in Canadian Politics
There is one talking point, IMHO, that we want to relate strongly to all of our fellow Liberals across the country, in fact to anyone who has ever listened to a Jack Layton sound bite and cringed ….
Toronto-Danforth is the only place in the country where there is going to be a referendum on Jack Layton’s role in Canadian politics. Anyone anywhere who wants to send a message to Jack should channel their efforts through Toronto-Danforth and there are lots of ways that they can do this.
- If you read something about Jack that makes you cringe, send us a link to tdla.webmaster@gmail.com we can share that with our members and/or Toronto-Danforth voters.
- Better still send along with the link some text that voices your opposition. Use your Facebook page, blog, video camera or just send us an email explaining why you think Jack needs to go, share your view with us so that we can added it to the chorus.
- If you know anyone in Toronto-Danforth call them and share your view,
- volunteer to help us call every Toronto-Danforth voter and ask them to help us defeat Jack.
- Connect with our group at www.tdfla.ca via Facebook Connect and Google Connect (you don’t need to be a member), this lets others know that you are discontent with Jack Layton.
- Volunteer to help with the Toronto-Danforth campaign. If you can visit the riding we can use your help. We can also use your help from any internet enabled computer in the world for phone work, research, writing, etc. If you can commit a few hours during an upcoming campaign, let us know now so that we can plan for it.
- Donating money to our local campaign can make a big difference too. You are welcome to join our association for starters.
- Send us ideas and suggestions. Any little bit of insight or critical point of view can help us improve our approach and our ability to connect with Toronto-Danforth voters.
So how about it? What is it that really was the final straw that made up your mind that Jack Layton is mistaken in his actions and they are hurting Canada?
Was it his opposition to a National Day Care program, scrapping of the Kelowna Accord, abandonment of the environmental movement or is it all of those things plus one particular sound bite that trivializes real acknowledgment of the responsibility of actually governing Canada? Let us know in the comments below and let’s get started on this together.

I like Jack.
Jack visited my house once.
He appeared to be a nice enough fellow.
He understands working stiffs such as myself.

Oleg,
Thank you for your comment.
Would you like to arrange for Mr. Lang to visit your house?
As a declared supporter of Mr. Layton, we encourage our readers to deeply consider your claim that, “He understands working stiffs …”.
We believe Mr. Layton has a better understanding of grabbing a sound bite than real designs on policy that the country will accountable for and rely upon to improve the lot of working families.
Why else would he, for example, contribute to the defeat of a National Day Care plan?
